Life Coaching and Personal Growth - A Demonstration of Abundance (Lets Exchange Links!)

One of the commonly cited key principles of personal growth is that of abundance.  Simply put, we have the choice to live and act in a matter which either demonstrates abundance or scarcity.  When we decide to live with the knowledge that there is plenty to go around for everyone, we have chosen the path of abundance.

Why does Abundance Work?

A mindset of abundance is one which proliferates collaboration, exploration, opportunity and creation.  An abundance approach permeates selflessness rather than selfishness.  Indeed this is a far cry from the way many of us approach our personal or business endeavors.  Someone with a mindset focused on scarcity might entertain the question "how I can get my piece of the pie" (either figuratively or in actuality), whereas a person exuding abundance might be asking "how can I/we create more pie for all?"

A person acting out of the scarcity approach (or some call it a competitive mindset), has the incredible disadvantage that they are always working within the constraints of a limited resource.  Even if you were to ‘win’ and get what you wanted, the potential is capped with the optimum result that you are looking to achieve.  Working out of the framework of abundance will shift your attention to the fact that while the ‘big contract’, or ‘once in a lifetime’ opportunity may be a very nice to have, there are still more - even bigger possibilities available to you and for others competing in the same environment.  Your challenge is to create and develop those opportunities for the better good of all involved - not to win the limited prize that is available.  Truly, this world provides an abundance of natural resources, energy, money, friendships and love.  The question is whether or not you are willing to develop it for yourself and share it with others.  This is why successful businesses are indeed businesses and not just individuals - they are willing to share a piece of the pie that they have created!

On a logical sense, we all know people with a competitive, limited mindset.  Ask yourself if the greatest leaders of countries, people and businesses could have possibly operated under a philosophy of limits.  Even today as society faces an energy crisis with increasing oil prices, we often hear of the limits, however the true potential for the future lies in the abundance of air, water and wind on the planet.  Which governments will you bet on in the next 100 years, those dependent on fossil fuels, or those developing new energy resources?  This is a very practical application of the question of abundance that demonstrates the short term nature of capitalizing a limited resource versus the infinite potential of an abundance approach.

Lets Exchange Links (create abundance for all!)

I’d like to personally expand and create abundance for my readers and other personal development professionals by increasing web traffic for us all.  Just this week I finished adding a link request submission form to my links page and I’d like to publicize your business/blog as well as improve your search engine results.  To request a reciprocal link, simply click on Add Link at the bottom of the page.  I will personally review your website and accept the link as soon as my software recognizes the reciprocal.  I do ask that the website you submit is related to the topics of Life Coaching, Wellness Coaching, Lifestyle Change or Personal Growth/Success in order for it to be approved.

Its my true hope and aspiration that you are personally successful on all of your endeavors, and that you are creating an abundant world full of opportunity for yourself and others.
