Creating Unparalleled Success

How do we truly find success?  If you frequent this website, you’ve probably read my series the 10 Steps to Success, and may think that being successful is as simple as becoming clear of what success means to you then implementing a set of instructions to bring it into reality.

I admit, if you follow the directions laid out throughout that series of articles, you are well ahead of the vast majority of the population and are clearly on your way to achieving your goals.  But success is bigger than simply achieving goals.  Success is an inner triumph.  Success is engrained in the fabric of who you are, not just in what you do.

Many of us have modest goals, to increase our income by 10%, to get a new car, to be a good parent (OK - there’s nothing modest about that, however its certainly common).  What do you do however,to become extremely successful?  How to I become the best?  What if the common definitions of success simply are not enough?  How can you be among the top .1% that excel and live an unparalleled lifestyle?  While I encourage anyone asking these questions to search deep to understand their motivations, this life you inquire about is possible and following the steps below will support you in making it happen.

1.Engage your mind

You wish to create unparalleled success.  Are you truly engaged in this vision?  Do you ask yourself daily - How can I create x,y,z in my life?  Do you know what x,y, and z are?  What does it mean to you to create unparalleled success?

These are the questions you must entertain every single day.  Your brain is the single most incredible tool on this planet, greater than any supercomputer and equivalent to that of the wealthiest, smartest, and most talented people in existence.  Furthermore, its connected to your soul and it knows you better than anything in the world.  You may not know the answer ‘how’ to create the success you desire today, but if you become truly focused on what you want, bits and pieces of the puzzle will fall into place as you engage the most powerful tool on this planet - your mind.

Ask yourself, am I fully engaged?  Is extreme success simply a far fetched wish or am I willing to do anything within my moral compass to make it happen?  To be in the top .1% of anything you do - whether it be in sport, physical recovery from an illness, becoming financially independent, graduating at the top of your class, or becoming a world renown artist, you must engage your mind and commit to finding the way towards the destination you envision.  That is your top priority.

Given this clarity, focus, and the understanding of the incredible tool you possess - it becomes easy to imagine goals 10 times bigger than what you are currently envisioning.

2.Dare to dream

How would you feel if you’ve worked for years in a job, earned a modest salary, received standard pay raises of 3-4% per year, and someone told you that you could earn 10x your salary with the same amount of work.  You’d probably laugh and tell that person to lay off the moonshine.

Most of us at some point in time have lost our capacity to dream.  Our creativity has stalled as we’ve accepted the truth of what we’ve learned about life.  We’ve seen things happen a certain way for so long that we no longer believe that the extraordinary is possible.  Once you’ve fell into this trap its game over.  We disengage the most incredible super computer in the word and give it a mundane task the equivalent of word processing on your PC - when it can do so much more.  You are only engaging a fraction of your brains potential.

If you’ve resigned to the ‘fact’ that you can not do anything differently, then you’ve already given up and there’s no point in reading this article.  If you got chills reading about the idea of earning 10x your current salary, and your imagination has already started spinning, then you have potential.  Break down your limiting beliefs and engage possibility as a child does.  Grow 10, 100, 1000 times larger in your mind - where does it feel best?  Be a dreamer with a purpose.  The purpose is to make your dream come true.  Remember, as soon as your mind says its not possible, then you’ve given yourself instruction to fail.  Dream big and believe in the power within you to create.

3.Embrace your Individuality

If you are to bring unparalleled success into your life, you must come to terms with and embrace your individuality.  We can be educated, groomed, and trained to excel in what we do but we will never find the level of success we are capable of if we do not embrace our innate and individual talents.  Extreme success grows out of passion and purpose, not out of training and education.  By all means, train yourself to become the best, but train yourself to be the best at what you love.  Make what you do a reflection of who you are and embrace your qualities as a human being to stand out.

Choosing to follow a path that offers a good potential, but is one which does not fit your individuality will not lead you to true success.  It doesn’t matter if you define success in terms of money, fame, accomplishment, life balance or happiness - choosing a path that does not allow you to creatively express your greatest talents will result in not living up to your potential.  If you think you’ve done well following a path you are not passionate about - imagine what you could do if you followed your heart!  Many of us give up on our dreams and only share a fraction of what we can offer to the world.  Embrace your talents, your passion, your joy and offer this to find true success.

This brief article provides you with a short introduction to creating unparalleled success in your life.  If you have not read the 10 Steps to Success yet, I highly encourage you to do so for a step by step model to bring your desires into a reality.  This series of articles does not address passion and individuality - the keys laid out here towards bringing extreme success into your life.
