i-grow.net: The Conscious Growth of Prosperity and Balance

As I get closer and closer to the release of my upcoming e-book and audio book, I’ve been giving a lot of thought to how I will re-design i-grow.net such that it has that certain appeal which makes visitors come back regularly.  Its hard to imagine that in about a month now, I will be creeping up on the date that I wrote my first blog article (How do I change my life?).  Without a doubt, the success gleaned to date with this website is meeting all of my expectations and I am pleased that the results so far have me absolutely convinced that its my obligation and contribution to continue offering this service.

The impending release of my e-book has sparked a number of ideas.  Even though I am not done with its publication, I am already thinking ‘What will be my next large undertaking with i-grow.net?’  And as the ideas flow in and out at a pace more rapid than anyone could possibly build, I found myself continually drawn back to the purpose of the articles I have written to date, and the purpose of the information I will provide in the future.

If you are a blogger and you are wondering what you will write on such as to fill enough content that you will draw a significant amount of traffic to your site, my advice is simply to provide articles of value.  What is your expertise?  What can you share that others are looking for?  This blog is my passion, my form of creative self expression, my opportunity to reach thousands (hopefully millions in the near future) of people across the globe and each and every day ideas for new articles come to mind.  I’ve a list of hundreds of potential articles to write that I’ve been accumulating over the past 9 months.  This is the result of an unfaltering commitment to grow this website/blog.

Having written on over 80 topics this year and developing a clear path of articles for the future has helped me personally to better define the focus of that which I offer to the masses.  Ever since the inception of my initial company ‘The Wellness Coach’, in which I coach private individuals in areas of health, stress and life balance, I’ve struggled to come up with a tagline that fully captured the essence of my business.  I know that this may seem like it amounts to small beans, but I take focus and direction very seriously, and my previous taglines never quite sat well in my stomach.  I suspect that an unclear tagline represented my own uncertainty about my personal offering.  That lack of clarity was eating away at me and pushing away opportunities.

Becoming Clear

One of the first, primary and essential steps in coaching is the process of becoming clear.  Over the past year as I built this website/blog from the ground up, I’ve written from the heart, and planned a path for moving forward.  My personal clarity has improved exponentially and these are represented in the taglines I’ve developed.  Here’s what I’ve used up until now:

  • Design & Maintain a Healthy, Balanced and Fulfilling Lifestyle (The Wellness Coach)
  • Coaching for Physical, Spiritual & Financial Growth (i-grow.net)

As I mentioned, the words were selected because they reflected what I felt I was offering, but they didn’t represent what I really wanted to express and didn’t encompass the breadth and spirit of the coaching practice or website.  Below you’ll find my new and updated tag line, along with a description of how these words paint the picture of my offering to this community.

i-grow.net:  Conscious Growth of Prosperity and Balance

If you’ve read this far, you’ve got the idea that I’ve been very meticulous about the words I’ve chosen and the every detail of the sentence structure.  Each word has meaning well beyond the word and you’ll see that meaning flourishing throughout this website.

Conscious:  I once lived my life unconsciously.  I was on cruise control missing out on life without even knowing that I was so consumed with what I was doing that I could not even rest for one moment simply to be.  This website is committed to offering tools and articles to help people raise their awareness, consciousness and their capacity to choose the path they follow in the future.

Growth:  The opposite of growth is stagnation – standing still.  Consciousness without growth is of no positive value (in fact, it can be downright depressing).  Growth happens when you take action based on what you’ve learned, what you’ve experienced, and what you’ve decided.  Growth means moving forward.  It means focusing on the future.  It means that we’ve all got a starting point from which we project the rest of our lives and that starting point is now.  Growth is neither positive or negative, its simply movement in a certain direction.  I can consciously choose to grow my hair just as easily as my portfolio or health.  I can grow my belly by eating too much just as well.  This is why prosperity and balance wrap up the tagline so nicely

Prosperity: Dictionary.com defines prosperity as ‘a successful, flourishing, or thriving condition’.  We can be prosperous with our health, our finances, our relationships, our sense of enjoyment, our spirituality, our capacity to make music, and the list goes on and on.  This website is about success, not just success in achieving whatever happens to come your way, but rather your success in creating a prosperous life as defined by your intentional guidance.

Balance:  This is the kicker and in my mind the most important aspect of the tagline.  We consciously grow and intend a prosperous lifestyle (wealth, family, passions etc) and do so in a way that fosters life balance.  I’ve met far too many people that have a financial situation others would kill for, but live at such a tempo that their stress is so high that they can not enjoy the riches they have accumulated!  And its not just those that have accumulated wealth.  Others fail in balancing even what seem to be the simplest aspects of their lives.  Life is a balancing act and we must consciously intend a lifestyle that nourishes our needs at a physical, psychological, and spiritual level or else we’ve failed with the conscious creation that we’ve brought unto ourselves.

Closing Remarks

This article is important for me.  It is the culmination of nearly three years of work in designing a clearly communicated offering to my clients and readers – a process anyone delivering a lesser established form of value product (i.e.: coaching) to the world must go through (I can only imagine what hoops psychologists had to go through during their introduction to mainstream society).  Imagine the first to try selling coca cola!

This website and my offerings are also about wellness coaching, life coaching, personal growth, physical health, spiritual health, financial growth and all the words which fell into my previous taglines, but as I mentioned they never quite seemed to sum up precisely what I was offering.

After the release of the afore mentioned e-book, I’ll be updating my website to reflect the changes, I plan on giving the site a facelift right around the turn of the year.  At times, absolute clarity does not exist (as I’ve experienced for several years), action guided towards a specific vision but unclear destination is often what propels you to the greatest success.

Wishing you a day full of conscious growth of prosperity and balance!
