Welcome to the fourth issue of 'Balance'.  Today's newsletter boasts a new and improved format - I'd love to hear your feedback as I am continually looking to improve this product! One new addition is the 'Link of the Month'.  This link will provide a different set of information and/or coaching on designing and maintaining a healthy, balanced, and fulfilling lifestyle either in the workplace or at home.  This month's link is a free virtual health coach designed to help you set and maintain health goals!  Check it out below.

Today's article is intended for those of you that have set wellness goals (whether physical, spiritual, or financial), and despite having the intent, have simply failed to take action.  If this rings a bell, have compassion for yourself - you are not alone!  Read the full article below to see what you can do to take your intentions and turn them into reality!

Today's Article: Not taking Action?

So you've got an intention to take action towards achieving a goal but for one reason or another it just has not happened.  Sound familiar?  Unfortunately, quite too often this is the case as people strive towards all sorts of goals, those ranging from the mundane (even daunting), all the way to those things that fill our hearts and lives with excitement.  We know in our mind that we'd like to accomplish something, so whats happening?  

Our creativity, ideas and dreams have a beautiful quality of being easy and free flowing.  In our mind, its easy to imagine a life with exceptional health, abundant money, the perfect job etc.  This is a beautiful thing as it allows our minds to create the world we see ourselves living in.  Having this vision, this forsight and clarity is an incredible starting point.

Where many goals fail is at the point in which these free flowing ideas merge with the dense energy of the physical world.  This is the realm of action in the real world.  Many people say it takes at least ten times more energy to take action towards our goals than what we thought it would take!  This is no reason to give up.  In fact, understanding the nature of energy in ideas and the physical world gives us insights into how we may be successful at transferring our thoughts into reality.  Here are some practical tips to make your dreams come true.

1)  The more we move an idea/goal into the physical world, the greater the likelihood that it will occur.  First steps can include, writing it down and putting it in a visible location, telling your friends/family what you are doing, therefore making it real outside of the realm of your ideas.
2)  Another tip is to take small steps.  We can all see that #1 will not take a lot of energy - in fact the smaller the better at first.  Have early success, this will support moving you in moving your ideas into the physical world and seeing how possible it is!
3)  Enroll support.  Asking a loved one/friend/colleague if they will support you in accomplishing a goal will be a privilege and pleasurefor them.  Ask them to call in and check in with you on a regular basis, and hold you accountable for small sweet steps.

If you've already taken these first steps to transform your ideas into the physical world, you are off to a great start.  The more actions you take in the physical world, the easier the next step will become.  And soon enough you will be in reach of the goal you had set out for.  Review the monthly action below and have fun with reaching your goals!

Monthly Action

*What is the goal you have not taken action towards?  
*Ask yourself if you are excited about this goal, does it satisfy a deep longing
*If not, consider if you've got the right goal, remember a goal should be fun, it should be fueled by a passion and inner desire of yours

*After clarifying your goal, take one minute and write it down.  
*If you are at your office, write it on a post it, make several copies and post it in a visible location (your car, your computer, your bathroom)
*Read the goal daily & email me with the results!
