Today's Article: Writing your Personal Mission Statement

Have you ever found yourself going through the motions of the day and felt that your activities were devoid of purpose?  Are there times when it is a struggle to take action even when you 'know' that you should?  Are you looking for the compelling reason you should create change that will carry you through to actually doing what you'd like to do?  How would you like to do all these things without struggle!

One way to inspire change, ignite passion, and get in touch with a lacking sense of purpose is to write out your personal mission statement.  Now, most of us are familiar with a corporate mission statement - that small paragraph procliaming a companies guiding purpose and principles - but few of us have developed our own personal mission statement.  Creating a written mission statement, hanging it in a visible location and reading it daily can be a powerful tool for bringing more fulfillment, joy, and focused action into your life.  It can be useful in guiding you with matters pertaining to family, relationship, health, work, sports, and the list goes on and on.

Have I got your attention?  If you relate to any of the challenges described above, you may garner huge benefits by writing your your personal mission statement.  The best part of it all is that the process of writing one takes LESS THAN 30 MINUTES!   In fact, its so quick and so powerful that I recomment it to everyone regardless of their sense of accomplishment to date.  In the worst case scenario, its a great way to learn a bit about yourself and spend a half hour consciuosly thinking about what is important to you.

If you are interested in learning more about what a personal mission statement is, how you can quickly and easily write one, and to see an example of an empowering mission statement then read my full article Writing your Personal Mission statement.

I'd love to hear your comments on my blog post regarding your thoughts of the process, or ideas and thoughts you may be interested in sharing with others.

Be Well
