TODAY'S ARTICLE: HERE'S WHAT ALL GREAT COACHES KNOW
Take
a look at above the book reviews I've written over the summer (see
articles above). This is
but a fraction of the material that I study at any given point in time
as I don't write reviews for every book that I go through. Books
that I read are written by life coaches, stress management and wellness
experts, personal development guru's, successful entrepreneurs, and
spiritual leaders. As
I've collected hundreds of books on my bookshelf, the newness and
mystery of what it takes to create lifestlye change and to grow and
evolve as a person becomes less and less of a novelty. While I'd
like to say that knowledge is the means to the result one is looking
for, the reality is that it is the application of the knowledge that
creates positive movement in one's life. So
what is it that all of our great leaders and coaches know? The
simplicity is profound - yet simple does not mean easy. To sum it
up in a nutshell here a short paragraph explaining what all great
coaches know. You
get what you truly want in life, not what you say you want in life.
The best indicator of what you truly want in life is your current
life situation. Health, wealth, satisfaction, life fulfillment,
and the like all begin when you change your internal situation, not
with a change in the environment around you. To glean true
results look within, stop thinking about what you want and start
feeling what you want. Feelings are a better indicator of what is
truly important. One's life situation can change in an instant just by
putting things in perspective - what's yours? Become clear for yourself
with what you want - engage yourself in taking one action every day to
get you closer to it and you'll find that your current internal reality
will shift to the long term desired result instantaneously. Sound
like a just do it mentality? Well almost. Try out 'Just
consciously do it'. If you are struggling to bring your goals to
reality, whether they are fitness goals, financial goals, relationship
goals or personal growth goals; then that is an indicator that you're
on the wrong track. It's not that it should be easy to attain
your goals, but the worthwhile goals are played for with the absense of
struggle. It takes real courage to face your fears of failure by
giving 100% to the goal you really want when there are no guarantees of
the outcome. But what happens if you never try. Or even
worse - if you try half heartedly and you never give yourself a real
chance. All
coaches - scratch that, all people know these simple truths to be true,
its just whether or not we're willing to listen. You've got the
tools to create what you want in life - no one needs to tell you how to
do it. You already know how. The question I pose to you now
is whether or not you are ready let go of the struggle and create that
which you know that you truly want. Be Well Written by Doug
